Like Nobody’s Business was established in 2007 and  works with owner-managed, owner-operated businesses to educate and guide them in subjects related to the financial management of their operation. This includes setting up and training in computerized accounting and record-keeping, understanding financial statements, working with accountants, learning to use online tools for banking and government reporting and more. The business also acts as a part time controller to businesses. 

Below are brief descriptions of some of the services provided.

Get rid of the paper clutter - We have solutions to the problem of managing the paperwork that comes in the door and the inbox. Are you dependent on someone else to get the paperwork to you? We have some solutions for that too. Or maybe you’re ready to go paperless?

Set up your computer accounting program - With your input, we set up your computer accounting in a way that will track the information you need to make good business decisions and for reporting things such as HST and payroll.

Keep it simple - If you're new to computer accounting, we start with the basics, working at your place, at your pace with your own paperwork so that you feel confident in your record keeping.

Increase speed and consistency - If you already have experience with computer accounting, we look for ways to improve the quality and speed of your record keeping, making use of program and shortcut features of which you may not be aware.

Government reporting - Make use of tools built in to the software to make HST and payroll remittances a breeze.

Online reporting and remitting of government taxes - We show you how to make use of online tools for HST, payroll remittances, ROE's and various provincial government reporting requirements.

Year end - We'll help you finish up the books, making sure everything is balanced and reconciled, check your income and expense entries, and put together the paperwork to take to your accountant.

Regular checkups - We can come in monthly or quarterly to check in, reconcile and review or answer any questions on the more challenging entries.

Budgets and cashflow - We can show you how to budget and do cashflow projections and then check your progress throughout the year.
